Tonneau Covers with Toyota Tundra Utilitrack Rail System
There's been some discussion about how BakFlip and RollBak tonneau covers work with the Toyota Tundra Utilitrack rail system. So here's the skinny on what BAK Industries does when it comes to installing our tonneau covers on Tundra pickups with rail systems:
Essentially we've made a very simple bracket kit that quickly lowers the track system a few inches. In so doing, we are able to clamp our tonneau covers on to work with the Toyota Tundra rail system, a if it isn't even there at all. The whole process takes just a few minutes and requires no drilling. Best of all, BAK Industries provides these lowring bracket kits at no charge! What could be better?
Also, you still get to use your sliding tie downs and your BAK Tonneau Cover on the Tundra trucks so you don't lose any functionality!
Figuring that a pictures can sometimes speak volumes, here's a look at an image which describes the process:

On the 2010 Tubdra with rack system: Reinstalling the track requires that the 4 end bolts be reversed from what is shown in the provided picture. Additionally, the trac’s tie downs must be inserted before the 4 end bolts are installed. Failure to do this causes the reinstalled track to sit cockeyed due to 4 protruding bolts bumping against the rotruding sidewalls.

Thanks for that info. I believe we are implementing shorter bolts that will take of of that issue. Thanks again for the comment.
