Hi,
Im looking for a bed cover that would allow me to mount an overhead rack for a Kayak. I’m willing to ditch my Thule rack that mounts to the under rail track on my 2010 Tacoma double cab, 5′ bed.
I like the looks of the Backflip F1. Does that cover leave the rails free for a tracrac mount, or are there any other systems from BAK that would allow an overhead rack with a bed cover?
November 28th, 2010 - 01:02
Hi there,
The BakFlip CS is the absolute perfect product for you. It combines a sliding rack system with tons of available options like kayak holders etc. The Rack system integrates seamlessly with the BakFlip tonneau cover. You can check it out at both http://www.bakliner.com as well as http://www.bakflip.com.

Hi, have a 2010 F-150 with a Ford liner with a Bakflip F1 on it. Works great, other than I am still getting a fair amount of water in the bed when it rains (not so much rain right now in Ontario Canada). Seems to be coming in from the sides. If I can solve this problem, I will have the perfect cover on my truck! Again, it is a great product. Even works fantastic when the ice and snow flies. I was a little concerned it wouldn’t work well when we had ice build up on top, but turned up to be no problem. Just need the excessive water issue solved.
December 28th, 2010 - 23:35
Hi Chris,
Send me pictures of your rails gaskets. I can quickly tell if you have the correct ones for the F1. The BakFlip F1 is extremely water-tight, but using the F1 with the older style rail gaskets can present a problem. If you need an upgrade, the fix is free and simple and will undoubtedly make a massive difference. Send the images yo julian@bakliner.com. Thanks!

Hello, I installed my G2 yesterday on my 1999 F350. All went well with that but when I got the BAKBOX put together, it doesn’t fit. The box is just too wide and will not go down between the guides. I checked the SKU and it is the correct one according to the cardboard packaging. My bed does have a Rhino Liner type lining but I can’t see where that affects the width of the bed as there is no liner where the guides attach. Have you heard of this problem and can you help?
January 30th, 2011 - 18:10
Ok, never mind, it’s snug but I got it to fit. The one thing I did have to do is move the sticks that hold the folded cover to the cab back a few inches to make room for the bakbox. I am very happy to have an additional eight feet of secure, dry, storage. I got the back of my cab back!

I am interested in the BAKFLIP HD for my 2010 Ford Raptor I was looking at which part # to order but was gettin a little confused with the sizes. Would it be the S/B / Crew Cab L/B 77,75, 35307 or the Crew Cab 66,00 35309? Being deployed right now I do not have my truck here to check the demensions. Also I would like to purchase the BAKBOX will it work with the HD?
February 24th, 2011 - 10:40

inner dimension is approximately 75″ 3/4
outer dimension is approximately 79″1/2

im interested in the BakFlip CS

Warren, based on your description you will need BakFlip CS part number 26203BT.
March 5th, 2011 - 18:51
I just finished installing my BakFlip G2, and it seems to be a great product. But one of my white poly latches is sticking, and does not lock the top down. Is there some type of lube I should try? Do you advise removing the aluminum channel to free the latch?
March 6th, 2011 - 18:59
Hi Jeff,
If you push on the latch will it move? We always recommend white lithium grease for any such issues, albeit an issue which pops up very infrequently. If that doesn’t help we’ll assist you in getting it replaced. Just email Lauren Dromy in our warranty department at lauren@bakliner.com and she’ll help you out.
Cheers,
Julian

Yes it will.

I have a 2008 Ford F150 Supercrew 5.5 ft bed. I really want the ford OEM Folding Cover by REV but the parts section told me it will not fit because the application is for 2009 and up. Is this true that it will not fit. I really want the OEM one because everyone says they leak less because of the heavy duty weather stripping compared to the regular bakflip. I just want a good looking folding cover that keeps my luggage dry and it seems the reviews i am getting on the bakflip G2 is they still are having issues with leaking. The main reason I want a tonneau is easy access to the bed and to keep my military gear dry.
April 29th, 2011 - 20:23
I have a 2008 Titan with a cargo rail system. I can’t seem to get the bakflip rail to fit without hitting the cargo rail system. Is there a different bakflip for trucks that have the cargo rail system?
May 2nd, 2011 - 20:43
Hello I just installed my new Bakflip G2 on my 2010 Ford F150 and its a great solid cover but when I was installing it I had it flush with the front of the box but then it barely touches the tailgate and I could reach my finger in between the cover and tailgate and pull the release cable so I’m worried about security. I moved the cover back more but now it barely touches or seals the front of the box. The cover should have been a inch longer.
May 7th, 2011 - 15:26
I have a 2009 F150 6.5′ box FX-4 Super Crew. It does not have the cargo management rails, but the holes are there in the bed where it meant to be attached. I would like to get a Bak-Flip G2, and I know I need the 26307 OR 26307T. I do not have the cargo management system installed. However, if I was to purchase the system from Ford in the future, presumably I would need the 26307T. What is the difference between the two models, and can the 26307T be installed if the cargo management system is not installed? And if it can, why even have the 26307?

I am researching the best truck bed cover for me and with two choices BakFlip HD looks like a close contender. I have a 2004 Nissan Titan Crew Cab Short bed and want something with security and easy of use as well as the complete use of my bed if need be. However I have yet to find a installation video for my model truck and am not sure it will be easy and convenient as some of the reviews I have heard. Anyone have seen a video of install on Titan Truck with Utillitrack system.

June 28th, 2011 - 01:39
do you build a bal flip cover for the 2011 crew cab raptor 4 door, not the roller version
i am i victoria australia how much is it and how much to ship it.
June 29th, 2011 - 11:04
Yes, we do make a BakFlip cover for the 4 door Raptor. We have 3 versions – The BakFlip G2, HD and F1. My prefereance and personal choice would be the BakFlip F1. It’s a stunning OEM part for the Raptor and just doesn’t get any better. The cost is $949.00 USD. We can ship it via ocean or air freight and prices vary. Your best bet is to drop Jesse Del Toro an email at jesse@bakliner.com. He would be happy ot run freight costs for you.

Mr. Maimin,
Wondering if you guys offer military discounts? Planning to make a F1 purchase very soon. Thanks!

We do indeed make the new Mazda BT50 tonneau covers for Europe. I will ask Jesse Del Toro (our international sales manager) to email yu the part numbers you need for the various covers.

In which month does the forthcoming model you refer to as the “FoldBak” appear?
You show a superior product in the F1. I wonder what the new one could possibly do differently or better.
September 17th, 2011 - 16:36
The new FoldBak will allow you to fold the front panel backwards towards the tailgate add well. This feature is fantastic to use as a Toolbox lid, as we will also be releasing a 21 inch wide toolbox that can be positioned under this front panel. It will simply be able to install on the tonneau rails (inside the bed). The new FoldBak is very exciting and should be on the market some time towards the end of the year. Also keep a lookout for the brand new RaorBak cover, which in my opinion will be a game changer of note! Unfortunately I cannot say too much about it at this moment, but to say that it will undoubtedly be a tonneau cover that will raise the bar on anything ever seen to date.

Hi, am interested on buying the F1 cover for my 2010 Dodge Ram with Rambox and I want it to be shipped to The Aultanate of Oman. Will this be possible? How much would it cost me? Please mail me!
October 1st, 2011 - 18:35
I have a 2500 silverodo 6’6″ bed do I have to use the shims if I have the side caps on the side of the bed beacause they are almost as thick as the shims are.
October 5th, 2011 - 00:13
How much would it cost to custom make a bakflip g2 for a 2007 F150 styleside?
October 12th, 2011 - 01:53
Hi Julian,
I need a cover for my VW Amarok 2012. I would like something that I can stand on as a scaffolding. Will the G2 take my weight – 220 lbs -or do I need the HD Bakflip? Am concerned about the aluminum heating up too much, though. Actually, I would prefer the Rolbak, but I understand you don’t have it for my truck. By the way, congratulations on your products – really swell.
October 12th, 2011 - 09:50
Carlos, we can help you get a BakFlip cover which will work very well for you. Just email jesse@bakliner.com for international assistance or call us at (818) 365-9000 and we’ll be glad to help.
October 20th, 2011 - 07:40
I have a titan 2006,and I bougth a cover in US.now I have a volkwagen amarok
what I need is (I like yours) is a cover with a key lock so I can use it as a normal car trunk.
October 20th, 2011 - 07:59
Need to know ,if you have covers with key lock?
October 30th, 2011 - 13:19
Carlos, we provide tailgate locks for trucks that do not have locking tailgates. All BAK tonneau covers have fantastic security built into them, but require a locking tailgate.
October 31st, 2011 - 06:08
I have a Silverado 2008 extended cab with a 8 ft box. My liner from the GM dealer comes up to under the side rails not over the side. I also have the factory wing on the tailgate. Will I have any issues using your products because of this?
Thx in advance.

January 17th, 2012 - 18:38
Just got the F1 for Christmas for a 2010 F150 crew w/ bedliner. I also am having some water issues. I love the cover, will not part with it. However we bought the cover to put luggage or clothes inside during our travels. Made several attempts to correct the problem, getting better. The rails need to be about 1/8″ wider on each side. The rubber seal does not seal on the metal frame of the panels, it is about 1/8″ to the inside which tries to seal on the panel instead of the frame. The panel is recessed about maybe 1/16″ which does not allow a good seal. I have added double sided tape which is almost the thickness of the recess. (left the film on the seal side) Leak is much better, still have some water. HELP!!!
January 18th, 2012 - 05:47
I’ve seen an announcement for the quad-fold FoldBAK cover which folds from the front or the back, but can’t find any more information (pictures, specs) and can’t find pricing or anyone that sells it. Do you have any insight on this cover? I’ve posted on the BakChat forum, but haven’t seen anyone reply to it yet.
February 10th, 2012 - 15:03
Any news on release of the Endura or FoldBAK covers? I’ve heard summer of 2012 but was wondering if there was going to a press release. I waited through 6 years of residency to buy my King Ranch Super Duty so I don’t suppose waiting 6+ months for the ideal cover will kill me. Itd be nice to have some pictures or info to look at during the wait
