We decided to recreate the OE tonneau cover that comes with the Chevy Avalanche, because we felt that OE fell short of what a really good tonneau cover should be for their Avalanche. As we saw it, their OE cover was cumbersome, tended to fade over time and just wasn't use friendly in the slightest. We felt that having to remove each panel separately was ridiculous. A tonneau cover is supposed to offer advantage to you as a truck owner. If it offers security and then creates 5 disadvantages at the same time, then it's just not worth it. So, when we designed the BakFlip tonneau cover for the Chevy Valance we set out to give it all the best features that the BakFlip offers, like great security, cutting edge contemporary aesthetics, a built in drainage system, easy installation and our trademarked uniqueness of allowing full, unobstructed access to the entire truck bed, without having to remove the cover.
